Meeting of lessons learned in social and environmental management of fair energy transition

A theme that seeks to combine the environmental with the energy, these two themes will be the subject of a meeting with the presence of the Ministry of Mines and Energy and the director of CorpoGuajira and which has been called Meeting of Lessons Learned in the Social and Environmental Management of the Just Energy Transition in La Guajira.

The event will be attended by the Vice Minister of Energy, Javier Campillo Jimenez and Luz Dary Carmona Moreno, head of the ministry’s Social Environmental Affairs Office; the director of CorpoGuajira, Samuel Lanao Robles and many personalities who have experience in energy and others in environmental matters.

At the meeting, topics such as the archeology of the energy transition in La Guajira, the collision mitigation of the pink flamingo against the high-voltage electrical transmission lines in La Guajira: Lessons learned 2020-2023 will be discussed, and the study of the use of the airspace: Acacias 2 wind farm case.

Likewise, the successes and failures of the Environmental Impact Studies presented to Anla will be discussed and a discussion will be held on lessons learned from environmental management.

At the meeting, the results of the La Guajira Regionalization by the National Environmental Licensing Authority, Anla, the evaluation of the environmental impacts of electricity generation in Colombia, as well as the identification and conceptualization of sacred or culturally significant sites will be presented. for the Apalaanchi Wayuu in the coastal areas of La Guajira and information of interest for the development of Off Shore projects.

The Ministry of Mines and Energy will present the learning in the development of the Prior Consultations in La Guajira and finally there will be a discussion on the lessons learned in environmental management. Admission to the meeting will be free and will take place at the Anas Mai Convention Center, starting at 8:30 in the morning.
