The Ministry of Development, Territorial Articulation and Housing has launched a new line of rental aid for an amount of more than 17 million euros for all of Andalusia to assist people who are in a particularly vulnerable situation. The Official Gazette of the Junta de Andalucía (BOJA) yesterday published the extract and order of the call for subsidies, the amount of which has increased compared to previous editions.

The province of Córdoba has more than 1.8 million euros within this line of aid and, as reported by the delegate of Development, Territorial Articulation and Housing, Carmen Granados, the objective is to reach 500 Córdoba families. Taking into account that each aid serves a family unit made up of an average of three members, the forecast is to serve 1,500 people.

Starting today, June 26, applications can be submitted online and in person. Regarding the latter, the delegate has announced that Board personnel have been appointed to help interested parties complete the information and advise them on the procedures.

Granados has explained that The objective is to “facilitate a quick housing solution to these people since housing is a constitutional right” and has highlighted the “high demand that this same call has had in previous years.” Furthermore, he highlighted that this new call, included in the Vive Andalucía 2020-2030 plan, “is added to other aid from the Andalusian Government such as those referring to the third sector or the youth bonus.”

The new call, which is by non-competitive competition, will open in July, just one month after its publication in the BOJA. These aids are aimed at homeless people, victims of gender violence, victims of eviction from their habitual residence, victims of trafficking for sexual exploitation and other families in a situation of proven special vulnerability. by social services or the corresponding local administration and who have difficulties in paying the rental rent for their habitual residence.

For this call, eligible expenses may be allocated for the period between January 1 and December 31, 2024. The applicant will determine in their application the start and end dates of the action, taking into account that the total amount of the Subsidy must not exceed 6,000 euros. Beneficiaries will receive one hundred percent of the subsidy in a single payment method.

Applicants must be holders of a contract rental of habitual residence equal to or less than 600 euros per month. This rent does not include the cost of annexes such as parking spaces or storage rooms. The amount can be raised to 900 euros in duly justified cases.

Likewise, they must be registered in Andalusia or have a certificate from the Local Police that certifies the establishment in the area for more than one year, except in an extraordinary situation duly motivated by the social services of the Autonomous Community or the local Administration.

The rental property, likewise, must be the habitual and permanent residence of the applicant, who must not be the owner or usufructuary of a property in Spain (with exceptions, such as non-availability due to separation or divorce). The requirements will be accredited with the report from community social services.

They will not be able to enjoy these subsidies if the landlords of the home are a public administration or a public company or if there is a first or second degree relationship of consanguinity or affinity with the landlord.
