In Valparaíso, the activities will take place in the Centex Room, El Peral Room and the Juan Araya Room, of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Valparaíso.
Next week, Santiago and Valparaíso will be the scene of a series of notable events focused on the promotion of Community Living Culture and cooperativism.
The activities are framed in the project of the “Community Self-Training Network”executed by Playa Ancha Cultural Center and financed by the Community Culture Points program of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage.
These activities seek to strengthen dialogue and collaboration around culture and community production and will feature the participation of renowned exhibitors from Argentina. About, Karem Jorquera, president of CC Playa Ancha it states: “These meetings represent an invaluable opportunity for the general public interested in culture and cooperativism, offering spaces for learning and dialogue with international experts.”
JUNE PROGRAMMING
The first meeting, titled «Dialogues of Territories: Community Living Culture and Culture Points»the Monday June 17 of 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in it Theater News, located at Cueto N° 257, just four blocks from the Cumming metro in Santiago. The exhibition will be in charge of Maria Emilia De la Iglesiapresident of the Argentine Institute for the Promotion of Community Living Culture and founder of the “La Comunitaria” Cooperative.
Then in Valparaisohe Tuesday June 18 of 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Centex Roomlocated at Plaza Sotomayor 233, it will be the turn of the «Dialogues of Territories: Community Living Culture and Culture Points» headed by María Emilia De la Iglesia.
That same Tuesday afternoon, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.in the El Peral Roomlocated on Paseo Yugoslavo del Cerro Alegre, the event will take place «Dialogues for Cooperatives and Territorial Production». Manuel Andrés Martino, Agronomist Engineer and reference of La Comunitaria in the area of production, will speak about his experience as President of the Rural Federation for the Production and Rooting of Argentine Cooperatives.
Finally, the Thursday June 20will be developed Community Theater Seminar-Workshop of 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Juan Araya Room, from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Valparaíso. María Emilia De la Iglesia, in her role as theater director, actress, teacher and social communicator, will facilitate this workshop. She is also the founder of the “La Comunitaria” Cooperative and President of the Argentine Institute for the Promotion of Community Living Culture.
