Indigenous authorities reported the murder of a traditional doctor within the Mosoco indigenous reservation, an event that occurred in the village known as Moras.
This is Luis Eduardo Vivas, a renowned traditional doctor and spiritual expert. Vivas was found dead in his home with two gunshot wounds, according to the report from the indigenous authorities.
Luis Eduardo Vivas was a respected and valued figure in his community for his work as a spiritual and medical authority.
His murder not only represents an irreparable loss for his family and community, but also a serious threat to the preservation of ancestral culture and traditions.
“He was a person who acted as an authority, something that we strongly reject. We deeply regret this loss and extend our voice of encouragement to the family and the community,” said Rodrigo Perdomo Tenorio, Senior Advisor of the CRIC.
