Córdoba hosts a workshop to advance towards a single social triage protocol in AndalusiaCORDOVA

Professionals of social servicescommunity participate this Monday in a workshop on the social triage system in Córdoba with the aim of moving towards development of a unique protocol in Andalusia. The meeting, which is held at the Faculty of Labor Sciences of the UCO, has been organized by the Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality, the universities of Córdoba and Jaén, the GEDEX Research Group of the UJA, which works in the project Audit of Social Triage services with Single Protocol design proposal.

The opening ceremony included interventions by the vice-rector for Equality, Inclusion and Social Commitment of the UCO, Sara Pinzi; the territorial delegate of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality in Córdoba, Dolores Sánchez Moreno; the president of the Professional College of Social Work of Córdoba, Angustias Varo Benavides; and the main researcher of the project and professor in the Area of ​​Social Work and Social Services of the University of Jaén, Yolanda de la Fuente Robles, who have agreed to highlight the importance of working for a social services systemrobust that allows improving the attention provided to citizens. In this sense, the vice-rector Sara Pinzi has highlighted the usefulness of “networking” and valued “innovation and the transfer of knowledge also in the social field.”

Yolanda de la Fuente has detailed that the project presented today is part of a Research and Innovation Program in Social Servicesfinanced by the Department of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality of the Government of Andalusia, through its Line 3 of subsidies, with the aim of promoting innovation in the Public System of Social Services of Andalusia.

This project has as main objectives: the evaluation and diagnosis of the Social Triage Systems, implemented in different parts of Andalusia, as well as the design and development of a Common Social Triage System at the Andalusian level, taking into account the potential of various triage systems implemented. De la Fuente has highlighted the work carried out in social services in Córdoba and defended the need to have a single protocol so that “the attention that citizens receive does not depend on their zip code.”

The dean of Labor Sciences at the UCO, Nuria Ceular, has highlighted that for the Faculty it is “a very important milestone to host This first research scenario regarding social care within what will be the launch in the 2025/26 academic year of the new degree in Social Work in our center.”
