On Tuesday, June 18 and Wednesday, June 19, the final samples of our artistic workshops will take place, developed since April to date at Balmaceda Arte Joven Valparaíso.
Music, humor, dance and visual arts will make up the programming at the Balmaceda Arte Joven headquarters in Valparaíso, where the processes and results of the work carried out during the first half of 2024 will be exhibited.
The first day of exhibitions, scheduled for Tuesday, June 18 at 6:30 p.m., will begin with the presentation of “Contemporary Dance: Dance, Research, Movement” (led by Keny Huerta), where participants will share a choreographic device collective in which each one has created an analogy between the premises investigated and their biography. Next, the exhibition “Book as an Art Object” will take place (by Paulina Rodríguez), in which the participants will present their processes and graphic results of their fanzine and book mockups.
Finally, the presentation “Multimedial: Multimedia Laboratory of Funny Stories” (led by Javier Faúndez) will take over the space with an interactive museum that will feature eight humorous stories in different formats.
The second day, which will take place on Wednesday, June 19 at 6:30 p.m., will be dedicated to music and sound experimentation. The presentation of “Rap & Urban Poetry” (by La Deyabú) will open the day with their own, collective and individual compositions worked on by the young people during this process. Subsequently, it will continue with the presentation of “Experimental Electronic Music” (by Alisú), where the sound experiments created by the participants, based on improvisation and creativity, will be presented.
Everyone is invited to participate in these two days to tour and enjoy the artistic exhibitions that the young participants of the first season of Artistic Workshops at BAJ Valpo have prepared.
The exhibitions will take place on June 18 and 19 at 6:30 p.m., at Santa Isabel 739, Cerro Alegre, Valparaíso. Entry is free.
