The House of Sciences opens the summer with ‘Phízate’

The House of Sciences welcomes summer next Saturday, the 22nd, with the theater, circus and science show ‘Phízate’, which revolves around the world of acids and bases, neutralization reactions and, ultimately, pH. The appointment is at 7:00 p.m. and admission is free. And the summer party scheduled for September 1 for children ages 4 to 7 will revolve around the water, with songs, stories, games and the presence of children’s book author Mario Martín Losa.

As announced by its director, Dolores Fernández, the House of Sciences will take advantage of the summer season to take its scientific content abroad through workshops on ‘Soap Bubbles’ (June 25), ‘Amazing Physics’ (the 26th) and ‘ Summer Mathematics’ (27 and 28).

From July 2 to 5, Animal Week is celebrated, which will be followed by successive weeks of Planet Earth, Chemistry, Astronomy, the Human Body… until closing the cycle with Nature Week, from the 27th. to August 30. There will also be technological workshops during the months of July and August, specifically on robotics, manual calculators and, for adults, Internet safety and procedures with the administration.

In addition, and for the first time, the House of Sciences joins the ‘International Bat Night’ initiative with the conference ‘Unknown bats’, given by biologist Félix González Álvarez on August 27 (8:30 p.m.). At the end of this talk, attendees will carry out a practice of detecting bats with ultrasound outside the House of Sciences.
