Within the framework of the Sea Festival 2024, photographers will photograph the city in the 2024 Photographic Journey “El Origen”.
The city of Santa Marta is ready to welcome local photographers and hobbyists in the long-awaited Photographic Journey 2024. This event, scheduled for the morning of Sunday, July 21, invites participants to explore and capture the essence of the city’s historic center through their lenses, whether with professional cameras or cell phones.
Under the theme “The Origin”, the official brand of the Sea Festival 2024 that will take place from July 25 to 29, the Photographic Journey seeks to make participants reflect on the beginnings and essence of creation, inviting them to immerse themselves in visual narratives that explore the roots of human existence, the connection to the land, genealogies and ancestral traditions.
Categories and awards of the “El Origen” Photographic Journey
The contest is divided into two categories: Professionals and Amateurs. The Professional category is aimed at those with extensive knowledge in photography, while the Amateur category is open to all lovers of this art, regardless of their level of experience.
The first three places in both categories will be awarded. Likewise, the winners will receive a special mention and will have the opportunity to participate in a local media tour. His works will also be exhibited in the Ninth Version of the International Photography Festival – FIF Santa Marta, during ExpoFif 2024.
Competition rules
To participate, those interested must reside in Santa Marta and can register in one of the two categories. Each participant can send up to three photographs, which must be unpublished and captured during the Photographic Journey. Photos must be submitted in digital format (JPG) and can be black and white, monochrome or color.
Among the rules of the contest, it is specified that photographs must not violate intellectual property rights or promote obscene material, drug use or any type of violence.
Free registration
