Javier Milei called on the different authorities and political forces to sign a commitment agreement on July 9
The senator Beatriz Avila (PJS) celebrated the new call for a national pact in Tucumán. “We have to get away from the logic of promoting division for political gain. We Argentines need consensus and unity to grow. Today the national flag unites us, July 9 will be a tribute to our heroes, but it is also the possibility of moving forward. We must take one more step to look to the future and establish an agenda of consensus that gives us predictability beyond the remembrance of a national date. The president’s call is very valuable and must be supported,” he said.
Avila considered that there is an inability to find consensus and common denominators. “The differences are reasonable and are part of the essence of democracy. I am not part of the government, I represent part of the opposition. However, I am convinced that we must put pettiness aside. And the problem is not Milei yes or Milei no, there is something that has been happening for more than 40 years. We cannot continue stumbling over the same stone,” she insisted.
The parliamentarian stated, finally, that the best tribute that can be paid to Argentine history is to build another future. “It is a source of pride and a great possibility that our province can host such an important milestone as the one proposed. We all have to work to reach an agreement by July 9. A country with more than half of its population in poverty, with millions of workers who cannot make ends meet, with young people without horizons, cannot afford to continue in the permanent fight,” she concluded.
