Given the obvious infraction, the operators proceeded with the stipulated procedure, immobilizing the motorcycle involved, a fact that generated the fury of its owner who, in addition to sabotaging the procedure and trying to prevent the procedure, began beating one of the Workers.

In the video, which went viral on social networks, you can see how two subjects get on the crane and try to disable the locks and straps that hold the motorcycle in order to lower it from the vehicle while attacking the operators. Faced with the attack, the driver of the vehicle has no choice but to start, even though one of the subjects was in the back of the crane struggling with the other operator. The events occurred on 19th Street and 70th Street, in Fontibón.

It was then, with the car in motion, when the subject began beating the operator. In the middle of the struggle, the aggressor fell to the asphalt while the car was moving and was a few centimeters away from being run over by the cargo vehicle.

Ministry of Mobility spoke

In a press release, the entity detailed the procedure that the traffic operators were carrying out and categorically rejected the attacks that occurred in the midst of carrying out their work.

The district entity indicated that the crane was intercepted when it was moving by the aggressors when it was heading towards the yards to leave three motorcycles that had been immobilized, one of which was unceremoniously lowered from the crane.

“The entity categorically rejects this type of act, which shows a lack of tolerance and respect for authorities and legal procedures. We do not tolerate any type of aggression against staff, nor against our collaborators in the exercise of their work, nor against citizens,” the entity states in the press release dated June 19, 2024.

In addition, the Ministry of Mobility announced that once the results of the investigations are known, it will evaluate taking the relevant legal actions.
