The YPF company, its foundation and the municipality of Sierra Grande presented the “Visual health in children” program, aimed at guaranteeing access to ophthalmological health for school-age children.

The plan includes ophthalmological check-ups for 1,300 students from primary schools in the area. Students will be tested for visual acuity and those who are diagnosed with a pathology that requires the use of glasses will be provided with them free of charge.

The initiative not only seeks to improve children’s visual health, but also their academic performance and quality of life. The program is part of the actions promoted by YPF for the development of Sierra Grande and nearby communities.

For its part, the YPF Foundation will be in charge of the implementation and supervision of this program, which will include awareness talks on visual health care.

The meeting was attended by YPF’s Public Affairs Manager for Neuquén and Río Negro, Federico Califano; and the executive director of the YPF Foundation, Gustavo Schiappacasse, the Minister of Health, Ana Senesi; his counterpart from Education and Human Rights, Patricia Campos; the Secretary of Energy and Environment, Andrea Confini; and the mayor of Sierra Grande, Roxana Fernández.
