Lavaque represents the fifth generation of a family dedicated to wine since 1870 in the Cafayate Valley. He studied viticulture and enology at the University of California. In 2004 he launched the Qara brand. In 2012 he founded Vallisto and in 2022 he revitalized Finca El Recreo.
