Nicolás del Río, the Argentine who was missing for more than a month in Italy, was found dead in a house in the Italian town of Arcidosso. Three men were arrested and accused of committing the crime.
Two men of Turkish nationality and a man of Albanian nationality are those arrested for the crime of the 42-year-old man who had gone to live in the city of Siena with his partner and his son at the end of 2023.
The investigation carried out by the Italian authorities also has the Albanian’s parents as suspects, since in their house they found remains of the wallets that Del Río was carrying when he disappeared. It has not yet been confirmed if they were arrested.
Nicolás Matías del Río was a 48-year-old Argentine truck driver who lived in Italy and disappeared in the town of Castel del Pino, in the province of Siena. Without any information on his whereabouts, his family launched a desperate search.
After having been seen for the last time on May 22, his family circulated his photographs on networks, especially in groups of Argentines in the European country.
Carolina, Del Río’s wife, had given details about the last minutes of contact with the missing man, who worked as a transporter in the area. According to her, his job consisted of removing luxury handbags from factories to take them to a warehouse and, later, deliver the merchandise to different nearby cities.
The last message she received from her husband and father of the 9-year-old son they have in common was the same Wednesday that he disappeared, while he was taking the route that was already usual for him. “The police called the first night to see if he had returned to my house in the early morning, and the next day they sent a patrol car. “They are not doing anything,” the woman denounced.
In addition, he had revealed that the truck in which Del Río was traveling had appeared burned the day after the disappearance.
