The Regional Hemotherapy Center will receive blood donations from all groups and factors tomorrow, Thursday the 27th, in La Viña.

The collection will be made between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., on the mobile phone that will be located in the central square of the town. Donors are requested to attend with an identification document and not be fasting.

You can donate:

  • People between 16 and 65 years of age, with a body weight greater than 50 kilos.
  • No history of heart, lung, liver, Chagas disease, oncological, infectious or other potentially risky or harmful disease for the recipient.

They cannot be donors

  • Pregnant or women who are breastfeeding.
  • People who have been exposed to risk situations of contracting infectious diseases, such as unprotected sexual relations.
  • Those who have undergone surgery, endoscopy or colonoscopy during the last 6 months. After that period, they can donate.
  • Those who have had a piercing or tattoos during the last 6 months. After that period, they can donate.

Other data

  • Those who have received the flu vaccine and present symptoms such as fever, body aches, etc., will be able to donate blood after 72 hours of receiving the vaccine.
  • Those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine, and do not present symptoms, can donate after 72 hours.
  • Those who have received antibiotic medication must wait 7 days from the last dose to donate.
  • People who have had dengue can donate after three months.
  • Those who have had dengue hemorrhagic fever can donate after six months.
  • Those who live with people who have dengue symptoms must wait four weeks to donate.
  • A person can donate blood with a minimum interval of two months.

Bone marrow

At the collection, CUCAI Salta staff will inform attendees about donating bone marrow for transplant to people with blood diseases, such as leukemia, aplastic anemia, lymphoma, myeloma, thalassemia, metabolic errors or immunological deficiencies.

Likewise, it will register potential donors, who must donate a unit of blood for studies to determine genetic data and subsequent incorporation into the national registry of volunteers.

Spontaneous donation

The Regional Hemotherapy Center remembers the importance of having voluntary and regular donors, in order to maintain the availability of blood products to respond to the daily demand of patients of all ages.

Those who wish to donate spontaneously can do so at Bolívar 687 (Salta), from Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.
