For Isabel Hernández, Coordinator of the Office for Disaster Risk Management of Huila, announced that “for the Andean region where it is located “In Huila, in the month of June, we observed a decrease in rainfall. However, it is important to note that, although there is a decrease, this does not mean that it will stop raining completely. Therefore, we are entering the second season of less rain.”

The call to the people of Huila is to be attentive.

From now on, the presence of the second season of less rain mid-year, which runs from mid-June to mid-September. For this reason, the necessary preventive actions must be taken to be prepared for any climatic eventuality.

Review and update contingency plans due to the La Niña phenomenon and identify critical points due to risk scenarios and carry out monitoring, among other recommendations.
