Leidy Tatiana Sánchez Forero will be in charge of representing Tolima this weekend at the National Meeting of Folklore Ambassadors in Ibagué.
The candidates
The representative of Colonia Tolimense, Leidy Tatiana Sánchez Forero, was crowned this Tuesday, June 25 at the Coliseum Mayor of the Sports Park as the new Departmental Ambassador of Folklore 2024-2025, within the framework of the 50th Colombian Folkloric Festival.
He is 23 years old, She is a technician in dance and interpretation of Colombian Folk Dance and student of a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education at the University of Tolima.
Miss Chaparral, Yulieth Natalia Durán Gómez, was elected vicereine; and as princess, Karla Julieth García Tole, candidate from Natagaima. The list of finalists was completed by Paula Andrea Giraldo Lombo from Melgar, and Ana María Restrepo López, from El Lebanon.
“My purpose as the new Departmental Folklore Ambassador of Tolima will be to be able to develop projects that help and benefit us in our culture, and our passion for Colombian dance and music”, said the new Departmental Ambassador of Folklore.

18 candidates from Alpujarra, Carmen de Apicalá, Chaparral, Colonia Tolimense, Coyaima, El Espinal, Flandes, Fresno, Herveo, Honda, Ibagué, Lebanon, Melgar, Natagaima, Purificación, Rioblanco, Santa participated in this Departmental Meeting of Folklore Ambassadors. Isabel and Suárez.
