The vice-rector of the National University -Manizales headquarters-, Belizza Janet Ruiz Mendozastated that The university community has already defined July 22 as the day to resume academic activities of the first semester.

The protest is due to non-conformity with the Higher University Council (CSU), which appointed, on March 21, José Ismael Peña as rector for the period 2024-2027.
He June 6, the CSU chose Leopoldo Múnera as the rector for the period 2024-2027. Múnera was the one that the student community expected to take office, after an electoral process with the ranks of teachers, students and graduates.
Despite the arrival of Múnera, the block remains, in the case of the Manizales headquarters in building C of the Palogrande Campus.
