This is the “best actor in the world” according to Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino He is one of the most acclaimed film directors of recent decades and throughout his career he has worked with a large number of actors, from John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson, through Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Uma Thurman, to Steve Buscemi, Christoph Waltz and Robert DeNiro, -among many others-. It was precisely one of these actors who dazzled the director so much that in an old interview he defined him as “the best actor in the world.”

We are talking about De Niro, who was part of Jackie Brown, a film that revolves around a flight attendant (Jackie) accused of drug trafficking and money laundering, who to avoid going to prison collaborates with the police to catch her supplier. In addition to De Niro, this 1997 film stars Pam Grier, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Forster, Bridget Fonda, Michael Keaton, Michael Bowen and Chris Tucker and its script is based on the novel Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard.

In an old interview with Charlie Rose – given after the release of Jackie Brown-, Tarantino spoke about De Niro and declared: “He deserves his reputation as probably the best actor of his generation.. I think he is the best actor in the world. I have never seen an actor become so completely consumed with character, with real character work during the play. And what I mean by that is that when Robert is playing Louis […] “He is Louis, he is working moment by moment,” explained the director.
