This fall it hits movie theaters Gladiator IIthe sequel to the iconic movie by Ridley Scott that premieres 24 years after its previous installment.
With a cast headed by Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal, the film’s plot takes place 25 years after the events of the original film, focusing this time on Lucius, Lucilla’s son.
Now that the theatrical release is slowly approaching, those responsible for Gladiator II are beginning to tease fans by teasing what they will find in this new installment.

Gladiator II promises to have the greatest action sequences
The film was recently presented at CineEurope, where some privileged people were able to enjoy an extensive preview of the new feature film by Ridley Scott.
The filmmaker already announced before the presentation that, despite almost a quarter of a century having passed since the first installment, this sequel was “worth the wait.”
For his part, Paramount’s president of international theatrical distribution, Mark Viane, said that Gladiator II features some of the “greatest action sequences ever filmed” (via Variety).
Not many more details about the project have been shared, but it seems that we are going to encounter one of Ridley Scott’s best works through a sequel that promises to live up to its predecessor. At least, that’s how they’re selling it to us.
Of course, until the film arrives in theaters we will not be able to know for sure if Gladiator II It will have been worth the wait or it will be forgotten. Anything can happen.
