Mnet’s highly anticipated show “Road to Kingdom” will be undergoing some changes!

On June 26, Mnet revealed that “Road to Kingdom” is preparing to air in the second half of the year.

Released in 2020, “Road to Kingdom” featured 7 groups—PENTAGON, ONF, Golden Child, THE BOYZ, VERIVERY, ONEUS, and TO1—as they competed in missions each week. The winner of the program directly obtained the opportunity to participate in “Kingdom”.

The next “Road to Kingdom” will have a reorganization and a major rebrand. Originally, “Road to Kingdom” was a prequel show to the follow-up show “Kingdom,” but in the future, “Road to Kingdom” plans to become an independent brand as part of the “rising K-pop boy group project.” from Mnet. which once again highlights the groups of boys.

Following the rebranding, “Road to Kingdom” will be broadcast under a new title consistent with the changes. In addition to strengthening the reality elements, there will be changes to the benefits granted to the winning team. The upcoming show will be directed by “Queendom” director Joo Woo Ri.

Last May it was reported that CRAVITY, xikers, THE NEW SIX, 8TURN, YOUNITE, ATBO and TEMPEST would join the group’s lineup. Reports on the lineup have yet to be confirmed.
