Hanoi attracts more than $1 billion in FDI

Foreign direct investments in Hanoi during the first four months of the year amounted to 1.132 billion dollars, according to the municipal Department of Statistics.

Hanoi, May 7 (VNA) – Foreign direct investments in Hanoi during the first four months of the year amounted to 1.132 billion dollars, according to the municipal Department of Statistics.

The same source detailed that in the January-April stage, 73 licensed FDI projects worth $1.8 million were registered, 47 programs with additional investments of $79 million and another $45 million for the acquisition of shares.

In April, 20 FDI projects in Hanoi received investment licenses with a total capital of US$103.9 million, while an additional US$57.4 billion was injected into 14 projects.

During the past month, Hanoi also issued licenses for the establishment of 2,514 companies with the registered capital of 1.04 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 24%.

Therefore, 9,400 companies were granted founding licenses in the first four months of the year with the registered capital of 3.9 billion dollars./.
