The AB Simón Bolívar Training Ship, from Venezuela, arrived this Sunday at the port of Santiago de Cuba, on a visit that will last until next Wednesday, as previously announced by the Revolutionary War Navy of the archipelago.

According to Prensa Latina, the military entity assured that the visit occurs as part of the XXXIV Instruction Cruise Abroad in 2024.

Also known as The Ambassador without Borders, the training ship will make a voyage through the Caribbean seas that will last approximately three months, detailed the Ministry of Popular Power for Defense of the South American country.

On its journey it will sail some 4,500 nautical miles and visit several Caribbean and Latin American ports.

Prior to its arrival in Santiago de Cuba, the ship was in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the Dominican Republic, Honduras and Mexico, and after its departure from Cuba it will arrive in Santa Marta (Colombia) and Willemstad (Curaçao) to complete the journey in the Venezuelan port of La Guaira, next July 13.

The population will be able to visit the “Simón Bolívar” Training Ship on June 16, 17 and 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., local time.
