Sabag Montiel: “I wanted to kill Cristina Kirchner and Brenda Uliarte wanted to be a spectator”

For hours, he assured that he is not a libertarian or anti-Kirchnerist and that the attack had no political connotation. “I am apolitical first of all, the incentive for which I committed the attack is not because I have a position at the antipodes of Kirchnerism or being in an opposing sector. I maintain my status as apolitical, it is for a personal reason. The attack was for a personal purpose and not to benefit any political sector,” he stated.

When they asked him what he meant by “personal tone,” he explained: “These are issues of discomfort with what is established. There shouldn’t be much redundancy. Dr. Kirchner is corrupt, steals and harms society”. Later he talked a little more and said that he was upset because his cars broke down and he couldn’t afford to pay the rent.

The main accused of the attack took advantage of his statement to separate his partner, Brenda Uliarte, and another of the “copitos”, Nicolás Carrizo. “With Brenda we never shared the decision to perpetrate the attack.””, he said.

However, he added: “I wanted to kill her and she wanted me to die. But I never asked him or ordered him to do it, nor did I give him her gun telling him ‘you do it’. “She wanted to be a spectator of the moment more than a participant.”

Regarding his current relationship with her, he maintained that since the day of the attack he had not seen her again. “We don’t have visits to prisons,” she said. Likewise, he called her a “liar”, since – according to what he pointed out – after the attack on CFK she began to say things that were not true: “she wanted to save her skin and started to lie, “She said that I hit her and she had photos with bruises, when I never hit her.”

He also assured that they planted a weapon on Carrizo and that they were not part of a gang. “My relationship with Carrizo was brief, fleeting and short. “I met him at a party and we had a relationship for 4 or 5 months, just for a work issue.”

On the other hand, he admitted that he went to the former president’s house on an occasion prior to the attack, to sell drinks and “study the paronama.”

“On the day of the attack I aimed at the face”, he assured when asked by the prosecutor. Then, they showed him a video and the accused detailed: “I fired once, not twice, and I did not reload the weapon again because I was intercepted.”
