MIAMI — Jared Triolo hit an RBI single in the top of the 12th inning to complete the comeback for the Pittsburgh Pirates, who beat the Miami Marlins 6-5 on Thursday.

Triolo drove in automatic runner Ke’Bryan Hayes against Marlins reliever Declan Cronin (0-1). The Pirates’ Dominican reliever, José Hernández, earned the save, retiring Venezuelan Luis Arráez, Josh Bell and Dominican Bryan De La Cruz in his only inning of relief.

Another Dominican, Luis Ortiz, scored the victory for the Pirates, who entered the third inning down 5-2 and tied the score at 5 in the eighth.

Pirates starter Mitch Keller allowed seven hits, five runs (four earned), walked two and struck out three in 5.2 innings. Then, Pittsburgh’s bullpen limited the Marlins to just one hit.

For the Pirates, Dominican Oneil Cruz was 1-for-5 with one run and one RBI. Venezuelan Edward Olivares was 1-1 with a home run, one run scored and one RBI.

For the Marlins, the Dominicans De la Cruz went 1 for 6 with one run scored and Jesús Sánchez went 0 for 3 with one produced.
