For a few hours now the rumor has grown about the possibility that Hernán Torres became the new coach of Deportivo Cali and upon seeing that it became a national trend, the ‘sugar growers’ issued a statement about it.
“The Cali Sports Association allows itself to inform its associates, fans, media and public opinion in general that: To date, the Cali Sports Association has not defined the name of the Technical Director of our Men’s Professional Team”, they began by saying from the team.
And then they continued: “Currently, our Executive Committee, together with the Technical Secretary, is in the process of reviewing and analyzing the resumes and the professional profile of the candidates that adapts to the needs of the club”.

“Once the selection process is completed, we will make it official through our institutional means,” he concludes.
Thus, although Torres is not directly named, it seems that what the team wants is to keep the decision about the coach they will have for the following semester confidential. More so taking into account that the Colombian coach named above has a contract with Emelec of Ecuador and must fulfill his commitments until the middle of 2024.
