Alfredo Berti or Javier Sanguinetti?

Newell’s is going through the search and definition stage regarding the new coach. The intention is to soon elect whoever will occupy the place left vacant by Mauricio Larriera to form the squad with which the continuity of the tournament will be faced. In the final stretch, two names seem to remain: Alfredo Berti and Javier Sanguinetti.

Since Larriera was fired from the club, the leadership focused its attention on quickly finding a successor and put together a list of possible coaches. From Ramón Díaz to Sebastián Becaccece, names that with the passing of the hours were dissipated for various reasons. And in that succession of surnames, one that remains in the leprous showcase is Bertipointed out by President Ignacio Astore and that before the Uruguayan arrived it was close, but it did not arrive due to lack of popular support.

Given this situation, other managers do not take a dim view of trying to seduce Javier Sanguintetti, who lost his job recently. The former Newell’s coach was coaching Huachipato (Chile), but a little more than two weeks ago he separated from the entity that will play the Copa Sudamericana playoff against Racing de Montevideo. The poor performance at the head of the Chilean team forced him to resign.

Berti managed to elevate his figure in football and took Independiente Rivadavia to the first division, club from which he left unexpectedly for the people of Mendoza and everything indicated that he was to take over at Newell’s.
