The company Google launched Fitbit Ace LTE, a smart watch designed for children between 7 and 12 years old packed with games and algorithms that promote physical exercise.

The various games – which are updated “every few months” – that children can access from their wrist are free, but to advance to the next level or customize them, children have to ‘pay’ by exercising.

“Children love to move, jump, run and play. And let’s face it, they love video games too. Fitbit Ace LTE brings these two ideas together by offering interactive 3D games and fully immersive on your wrist where the more you move, the more play time you unlock,” explains Google it’s a statement.

All the movement and exercise that children do throughout the day are reflected in a circle on the home screen of the watch face.

“Parents can see their children’s location in real time, call, send and receive text and voice messages, add (up to 20) contacts and manage settings such as ‘School Time’ (time at school) to eliminate distractions during class,” the company explains.

At the moment, users can only buy accessories for the smart watch games by paying with exercise, but Google announced that “in a couple of months”, the watch will have ‘Tap to Pay’ or contactless pay so kids have access to their pocket money to buy things in the real world.

Fitbit Ace LTE is priced in the United States at US$229.95 and requires a data plan. Fitbit Ace Pass to enable the LTE connectivity integrated for calls, messages and location sharing, which costs US$ 9.99 per month or US$ 119.99 for an annual subscription.
