Although it’s been a week since the COMPUTEX 2024they are still coming some news that have been seen at this fair. At the booth M: YES it has been possible to see a new card with graph aspectbut it is actually a card to add more M.2 ports to your PC. The confusion comes from the fact that this M.2 adapter card uses A cooling solution for AERO graphics from the manufacturer itself.
The new card MSI M.2 XPANDER AERO SLIDER GEN5 is able to add two new M.2 slots for discs PCIe 5.0 SSD. These units can be a length of until 22110which can also be hot swap. Unlike other solutions, this card has two slots on the back in which we can remove and insert the SSD units without having to disassemble anything.
This card nicknamed AERO since it has a cooling solution with a fan which comes from this series of MSI graphics cards. It has a heatsink and a fan that It will not move unless it detects a unit inside. It also has a switch to turn off and turn on the fan in the case of inserting SSD drives that do not require such extreme cooling. In exchange for all this, this card has a double slot design which allows you to install this cooling and obtain access from the rear for the discs.
This model will be released soonalthough no further details are known.
