OnePlus promises that the new cell will be able to provide at least 80% of its original capacity after four years of regular usewell above the sector average, which is 800 charge cycles.

The battery was jointly developed with CATL, the largest manufacturer of electric vehicle batteries. The Ningde company provided the technical knowledge and facilities to manufacture the batteries.
