Among the injured are a non-commissioned officer and a National Police patrol boat, who were in the area at the time of the incident. The situation is particularly serious for Rafael Ángel González, a car caretaker who suffered burns on his legs.

Several security cameras have revealed the magnitude of the explosion that has united the population of Valle del Cauca in an urgent call to the national government to intervene immediately in a municipality like Jamundí, hit by the violence of residual armed groups.
González, 57, was taken to the Fundación Valle del Lili clinic in Cali where he was treated for burns on his body as well as an open fracture in his femur and multiple shrapnel wounds. Initially it had been reported that the car caretaker had lost his life due to the severity of his injuries, but it was confirmed from the Jamundí mayor’s office that he was still alive, but in a delicate condition.
“The patient is in the immediate postoperative period of surgical interventions for multiple traumas, brain, facial, thorax and abdomen; with fractures in the right forearm, left hand and right side of the hip. He has required massive transfusion of blood components. Currently on mechanical ventilation”.
Among the other injured people, National Police officers Alexánder Meneses, 40, and Maira Alejandra Sinisterra, 25, also stand out. The non-commissioned officer and the patrol officer were also transferred to the Fundación Valle del Lili clinic where they confirmed that they are out of risk, although The uniformed woman has: “involvement in the left side of the face, multiple splinter injuries in the left eye and blurred vision. Currently, she is also stable and under observation,” according to the Valle del Lili Foundation.
The other three people who were injured were treated at Jamundí health centers where they confirmed that they did not have serious injuries.
