The head of the IV Macro Police Region of Loreto, David Villanueva Yana, together with a team of officers, went today to the home of the singer Esaud Suárez, who reported to the media that he had received several death threats through text messages. by unknown persons, and indicated that they would be criminals who operate in the north of the country.
After taking direct knowledge of the facts, the police chief pointed out that this is the second case of extortion registered in the city of Iquitos, capital of the Loreto region, and that the public complaint is already in the hands of the Criminal Police.
“The first step will be to reach the Criminal Investigation Department to file a formal complaint. Subsequently, the commissioner will be notified to reinforce the police presence around the singer’s house and business.”he explained.
According to Villanueva, the threats come from criminals who operate in the north of the country and for this reason, “we will inform our higher authorities so that investigations can begin and these subjects who not only extort the artist from Loreto, but also others, can be captured. singers and orchestra owners throughout the country”.
“This incident has put the entire artistic community on alert, which demands strong measures against the growing wave of extortion. In Iquitos it is the second case of extortion, since weeks ago a renowned doctor was extorted through messages and Molotov cocktails. The case of Esaud Suárez, is already under investigation”he stated.

“I have received several text messages through WhatsApp from an unknown number, where they indicate that my life and that of my family are in danger. The extortionate messages are constant and they ask me for 30,000 soles so that nothing serious happens to my children and me. They threatened that they would kill me if they found me on the street.”Esaud Suárez narrated.
The messages read that the criminals obtained the cell phone number of their minor daughters, whom they also threatened to kill.
