President Joe Biden gave voice this Saturday to the “dreamers” or “dreamers” in a video in Spanglish in which a handful of these migrants who arrived as children in the United States call his rival Donald Trump a “coward.”

The Democrat raised his tone a few months ago to directly attack his predecessor and rival in the November elections and does not miss the opportunity to do so.

This Saturday he did so taking advantage of the 12th anniversary of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program launched by former President Barack Obama when Biden was his vice president.

This program allows “the dreamers” to live and work legally in the country they call home.

In the video, a group of dreamers ask to vote for Biden because they say he has “kept” his promise to “preserve DACA.”

Instead, they call Trump a “coward” because “he wants to separate us and demonizes migrants,” they say.

Migrants “are poisoning the blood of our country,” the former Republican president is heard saying in the video, a phrase he frequently repeats at his rallies.

Biden and Trump compete for the Hispanic vote.

Until now, they have mostly opted for Democrats, but in recent years this community’s support for Republicans has increased, as was seen in the 2020 elections with Trump.

Despite his anti-immigrant rhetoric, the Republican recently launched the “Latin Americans for Trump” campaign to attract their vote.

“I don’t care about you, I just want your vote,” Trump joked recently at a rally in Las Vegas.

During his term, Trump wanted to end the DACA program, claiming that it was unconstitutional.

A federal court judge in Texas found that DACA violates US immigration law, but did not order the Biden administration to close it or stop processing renewal applications.

The sentence was appealed.

Upon his arrival at the White House in January 2021, Biden unsuccessfully asked Congress to provide a path to citizenship for “dreamers.”

“A lasting legislative solution is long overdue. Congress needs to act,” Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in a statement this Saturday.

Since the launch of this federal program, the Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has approved more than 800,000 applications and has about 580,000 beneficiaries, according to official data.
