A serious accident occurred this Saturday morning between a bus and a school bus on General Paz Avenuewhich left 10 minor injuries.
The incident occurred around 7 in the morning at height of Avenida de los Corrales, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Mataderoshand to the Riachuelo.
The truck, model Volvo 460 and belonging to a Brazilian transport company and which was headed to the Central Market, was left stuck on one of the bridges since its height exceeded the free space to pass.
The accident caused the truck to stop abruptly and the bus, which was traveling behind it, hit him violently from behind not being able to avoid it or stop in time.
The truck driver, a Brazilian citizen, explained to the TN channel that I didn’t know the height limits of the bridgeand when he realized he tried to maneuver to face the left lane of the highway – where there is more space – but he did not have time to avoid the impact.

While the driver was awaiting the determination of his judicial situation, it was confirmed that the truck was circulating in an illegal manner on General Paz Avenue since the transit of vehicles like this one, weighing 4 tons, is not allowed on this artery.

Of them, ten ended up with injuries of varying severity and one suffered severe multiple trauma and a fracture. SAME personnel transferred them to the Santojanni and Grierson hospitals.

As a result of the accident, traffic along General Paz Avenue towards Riachuelo was diverted by the collector while waiting to carry out the first tests and clean the asphalt strip. An hour later, the police opened traffic in the fast lane of the highway.
The Criminal, Misdemeanor and Misdemeanor Prosecutor’s Office No. 31, headed by Dr. Santurian, filed proceedings for injuries and charged the drivers, aged 20 and 59.
