Businessman Eduardo Costantini and his wife, Elina Fernandez, announced this Saturday that they are expecting their first child. The couple met in 2019 and said yes in 2020. Therefore, the economist, who already has seven children, will be a father again at the age of 77. Both had already expressed their desire to start a family together. “We’re pregnant”, says the post on social media.
“More than happy and excited to tell you that we are pregnant,” The couple posted on Instagram along with a photo of them both holding ultrasound images.
In 2019, Elina and Eduardo Costantini locked eyes for the first time when, stopped by a storm typical of the Argentine summer, she decided to make time in Ninina, the cafe located in the Malba – a museum founded by her now husband. Although she did not realize who the man was who was watching her so closely, when she asked for her bill he finally approached her to talk and, with just that first conversation, she felt “a crush.”
Seven months later, they generated great surprise by taking their fleeting courtship one step further and exchanging vows. On February 22, 2020 they gave the “yes I want” and they went on to become husband and wife. Once married, the model spoke repeatedly about her desire to be a mother. “I would love to get married pregnant, with a giant belly that barely allows me to walk to the altar,” the model had said just last year. That day, her husband replied: “We want to get pregnant, have a child.”
The businessman is the father of seven children -María Teresa, Mariana, María Soledad, Eduardo, Tomás, Malena and Gonzalo-, fruits of his relationship with the actress María Teresa Correa Ávila.
Just a few days ago, Fernández gave a report to Caras TV and sparked rumors of the sweet wait. “It will arrive very soon. God already decided it. We can’t say it yet, but it’s very close. “Eduardo is going to blow me away, there is going to be a surprise later, I still can’t say it,” said the model.
“Eduardo would love it. He goes crazy. He has seven children, 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The grandchildren range from 35 to one year old. And the great-grandchildren, three, four, five years old. We have a beautiful relationship with them, they are divine,” he added later.
“We met and after a month and a half we were already thinking about our children. Since 2021 we have always prepared our house with a room for a baby. It is not thematically decorated, but it is assigned,” she indicated. And she closed: “I imagine myself being a very dedicated mother, with freedom. I am extremely affectionate. My son or daughter will see a very dedicated, happy and hard-working mother.”
At the beginning of 2023, the couple had denied a pregnancy. With a short but forceful writing shared on her Instagram Stories, she flatly denied the rumors. “A very good morning to everyone! We want to inform you that the versions circulating in the media about our pregnancy are false. “We are not pregnant,” she wrote. “Please We ask you to respect our health and peace of mind.. Thank you so much. We love you very much,” she concluded.
