The measure of water rationing in Bogotá will change from July 1, as announced in the morning by Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán and the manager of the city’s Aqueduct and Sewer Company, Natasha Avendaño.
Now, the drinking water rationing shifts will be every other day, where the areas defined on April 11, 2024 will follow with the 24-hour restriction on service.
According to officials, this measure will be made more flexible, but they hope that citizens will continue with savings measures, with the aim of contributing to the recovery of the level of the reservoirs that supply the city.
The level of the San Rafael and Chuza reservoirs of the Chingaza System has been recovering by 25.97%, which went from 16.32% since April 11 to 42.99% until Tuesday, June 25.
