The Electronic Gas Market (MEGSA) carried out two auctions requested by CAMMESA for the interruptible supply of natural gas to generating plants for July 2024.
Producers and Marketers in general could participate in the first. 12 offers were received to supply a total of 2,950,000 cubic meters per day of gas, with Weighted Average Prices of US$ 3.38 PIST, and US$ 3.64 per million BTU placed in Greater Buenos Aires.
These are offers from Noroeste, Tierra del Fuego, Santa Cruz, Chubut and Neuquén, with PIST prices that ranged between US$3.30 and US$3.50 per MBTU. Gas prices in PBA ranged between US$3.52 and US$3.69 per MBTU.
The second auction was for the interruptible supply of natural gas for the same month, in which offers were received exclusively from those Producers who, having been awarded the Gas.Ar Plan, have additional volumes. Each Producer could only bid in the same basins in which it was awarded in the PG, without exceeding the price obtained in the PG for each basin for the winter period.
15 offers were received for a total volume of 22,800,000 cubic meters per day, with a Weighted Average Price of US$ 4.36 per MBTU.
They were offers from Tierra del Fuego, Neuquén, Santa Cruz, Chubut, and the prices ranged between US$4.10 and US$4.57 per MBTU.
