Throughout the 20-year history of the Challenge, hundreds of people have passed through and left a mark, both in competition and production, which is why Juan Ignacio Velázquez has been one of them. Being a presenter of the Challenge is a complete challenge, but also a way to live a unique experience, just as it happened to this countryman, who marveled at the location: “As we were on the Samaná peninsula, in the Dominican Republic, the beaches were incredible, the white sand. However, the presenter who was present at the 2011 Challenge did not comply with one of the parts of his outfits: “I think I only used it the first time. A pair of boots and nothing else. The truth is that I took off my shoes, put my feet under the sand and when I had to move I walked through it so that they wouldn’t see me I had removed them because the sensation was delicious and that way we could present very long tests and we didn’t feel tired.”
That is to say, the Colombians did not realize on the small screen that Juan Ignacio was without shoes, this being a pleasure for him, who had that relaxing connection with the beach.

On the other hand, the presenter talks about a scare he had with a challenger: “I remember that we almost had an accident with one of the participants in the final. They lent us a quad bike and since we had already finished, she was very afraid to ride, but she really wanted to try it”.
And Juan Ignacio did not want this woman to miss this experience, however, it was not as fun as they had thought: “We left the beach and went down a path that was quite steep and at one point we felt that the motorcycle was almost going backwards, we fell there like on its side, but fortunately nothing happened to us and we returned calmly to the set of recording”.
