Description submitted by the project team. In this project, the resident couple learned about the studio through an article on Instagram about a rod shelf made in another project. For them, it was love at first sight that resulted in an exclusive conception with many references to the industrial style and in the completion of the renovation in the newly acquired apartment. With 70 m², the property underwent various structural alterations to allow greater interaction in the social area, optimize the functionality of the spaces and express the couple’s way of being. In the decoration, industrial references were mixed with a palette of pastel tones and a selection of plant species plays the role of promoting well-being and connection with nature from the entrance. Standard oak MDF was used throughout the joinery. On the windows, wooden blinds offer control of light entry at different levels.

Connected and, consequently, larger, the living and dining rooms have light sources designed by rails and spots to enhance the decorative mix, with emphasis on the reinterpretation of the rod and wood shelving, as it could not be otherwise. To complete, the round dining table was accompanied by the set of Leblon chairs, with steel bases, bringing a very Brazilian design. By the way, valuing creators and creations Made in Brazil is always a concern of the studio. The pink armchair, by designer Fernando Jaeger, in the living room conveys romanticism in just the right amount.

In the kitchen, the well-studied use of space resulted in the removal of the wall that separated it from the laundry room. Under the Traço model tile panel, the large peninsula, allowing for quick meals, is higher than the cooktop and oven, both in white quartz. On the other side, the L-shaped countertop covers a dishwasher and above it is a French window with tinted glass doors, a wine cellar with a coffee corner was positioned on the side. The floor is a gray porcelain tile, an easy-to-clean option, especially in humid areas. The social bathroom gained a geometric effect on the floor, a custom model in white and gray, the sink was sculpted in gray quartz and the walls highlight the tile-like coating.

In the master bedroom, we provided a design intervention to add to the suite, the closets were renovated and received modern cavity handles, the Chromic colored walls contrast with the wooden headboard, which includes LED lighting. In the couple’s bathroom, the box has two overhead showers with a diameter of 20 cm each and accommodates a sculpted sink countertop, selected to reduce the depth of the countertop and ensure better circulation.

The home office incorporates the perfect fusion between the functionality of a space for professional activities and moments of rest. On the wall, the guitar reminds one of the resident’s skills and is ready to be played at the right moment. But with the multifunctionality that current architecture must provide, the environment also becomes a guest room in charge of the sofa bed and contains a collection of books arranged on the shelves.
