In this autobiographical work, the author explores her family’s past through her father’s memories, which reveal the feeling of guilt and identity conflicts of the German population due to the rise of Nazism and its terrible consequences.
In this work with a family dimension, the author explores the feeling of guilt that is inherited from generation to generation of the German population due to episodes from its past such as the Third Reich, the Holocaust and the Second World War; and how this has made it impossible for me to fully develop a feeling of belonging to a place and a group.
Through the figure of his father, we follow the family history and its relationship with the recent memory of the German people.
