The book that recovers stories and trajectories of the Mental Health School Hospital was presented in Paraná

This Wednesday afternoon at the Paraná Mental Health School Hospital, on the eve of State Worker’s Day, the book “Non-Clinical Stories” was presented. Stories from the Mental Health School Hospital”, one of the four monovalent hospitals in the province.
The proposal from the Communication area, with communicators Laura Lavatelli and Soledad Escoubué as compilers, brought together writings from more than 40 authors who are part of the hospital community. In this way, working people, retirees, users and residents recovered celebrations, scenes, places, characters, work routines and institutional trajectories.
The more than 150 pages, printed by Editorial Fundación La Hendija, bring together the stories that have sustained a transformation process for decades and in line with new legal frameworks and paradigms on mental health.
“The Mental Health School Hospital has a lot of love at work, that’s why Non-Clinical Stories: love in its multiple meanings and aspects, made into stories from users, workers, retirees and residents.”
With these words, Lavatelli and Escoubué referred to the invitation to make a book, started in 2021 as an excuse for the reunion, in the context of in-person presence after the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition to the communication team, Rocío Lanfranco, Laura Ríos and Sebastián Galizzi intervened, “from an outside perspective in the editing of the texts.” The publication has the cover art by Eva Cabrera, the photographs by Matías Loglio and the epilogue by the writer Juan Solá.
With an entrepreneur fair, live music and hot chocolate, the presentation was the place to thank the authors, editors, buyers and the Cooperating Commission 268, who made the editorial production possible.
