Osvaldo Laport suffered a serious health complication. The actor participated in Having Lunch with Juana and when he left there, he had to be hospitalized.
Despite taking multiple precautions in his diet, Laport contracted trichinosis, a parasitic disease that left him hospitalized in serious condition.
“I had been beaten up for two or three days, I thought it was the flu. I had a fever, a very big decompensation and dehydration, but I was the same,” Laport told TN Show about her decision to attend Juana Viale’s program despite feeling bad.
“I filmed Juana’s program with a temperature of 39 degrees,” said Osvaldo, who also said that, when he finished recording the program, he called his doctor and after being examined, he was urgently hospitalized.
Trichinosis, which is contracted by consuming pork, wild boar or puma meat that has not been cooked correctly or comes from unvaccinated animals, was the cause of his deterioration. Laport explained that he was infected in a town, after eating food at a party in the countryside.
The diagnosis was confirmed when a friend also showed similar symptoms. “My friend tells me, ‘I have trichinosis, so do my mother and my brother.’ There I told him ‘I’m hospitalized!’” Laport recalled, who also assured that the news impacted his surroundings and generated concern among his followers.
Despite being in treatment, Osvaldo maintains a positive attitude. “I still have trichinosis, I’m still being treated with pills and everything, but here I am, we have to continue life,” he stated.
