A British magazine described Milei’s health policies as a “zombie”

After the publication of the new epidemiological bulletin of the Ministry of Health of the Nation, a prestigious British medical magazine published a harsh article against the Government for its health policy of leaving the solution to the market for, according to the magazine, the worst outbreak of dengue in the history of the country.

The weekly British magazine The BMJ, of the British Medical Association – which has been published continuously since 1840 – described the Ministry of Health as a “zombie” and recalled that hundreds of cancer patients were left without treatment and that the first four months of the Presidency of Milei were dramatic for Argentina as a result of the dismantling of the academic and scientific infrastructure.

In addition, they defined the national president in the article in question as a “former economist, television panelist and sex coach,” and highlighted that the libertarian reiterated his goal of eliminating universal medical care.

A new bulletin was recently published by the health ministry, where it was reported that there were 270 deaths and 379,341 cases of dengue so far in 2024.

These numbers show that infections continued to increase in this last week, as did deaths, which also increased.
