After signing, the Mayor of Valparaíso, Jorge Sharpasserted that “We are convinced that the work being carried out by the Santiago Wanderers Sports Club Corporation is good for Buenos Aires sports, which is why we have committed a subsidy of more than $70 million pesos to support, first of all , all the infrastructure works that are being carried out in their sports venues, so that more residents can play sports. Secondly, support the International Futsal Competition that Valparaíso represents today in the Copa Libertadores de América 2024.”

For its part, Carla Meyer, in charge of the Community Development Directoratestated that “The Citizen Mayor’s Office has been committed to improving sports infrastructure. This year we are going to invest more than $2 billion pesos, between municipal resources and external funds, to improve sports infrastructure and in that we could not be oblivious to the important work that the Santiago Wanderers Corporation is carrying out in different sports branches, in Volleyball and Basketball, especially in Futsal where they represent Valparaíso at the Latin American level. This subsidy will allow us to improve the infrastructure of the Arsenio Fernández Sports Center that they have today in the Playa Ancha sector.”
