After an extraordinary security council in which the main authorities of the department participated, the decision was made to intensify protection measures for the deputies of the Assembly of Valle del Cauca, in the face of the kidnapping threat detected by military intelligence.
Governor Dilian Francisca Toro highlighted the work of the military organization that allowed an early warning about a plan that would end up affecting one of the main department institutions.

“We have to be calm, it has not been something that has already been verified, but that intelligence is what has given the possibility of let’s anticipate the facts and the Police are already acting,” the president mentioned at the end of the event.

Additionally, he explained that from the Valle Police Department, headed by Colonel Giovanni Cristancho, has established a series of measures for the protection of the assembly members, who will be reinforced with the quadrants and security at the headquarters of the corporation.

“Investigative protocols and processes have also been activated with human and technical sources for the search and collection of information to determine if there really is some type of intention.
