A Deputy Superintendent of the Police, assigned to the Community Police group, identified as Diego Armando Candia, who was carrying out recreational and prevention activities with citizens at the sports center in the La Reliquia neighborhood, in Villavicencio, was attacked with bullets by unknown persons.
The uniformed man was shot twice, one in the neck and another in the chest, causing serious injuries.
After the attack, the Police officer was taken to the health center in the El Recreo neighborhood, but due to the severity of the injuries he was referred to the Villavicencio Departmental Hospital, where he remains in a delicate state of health and with a reserved prognosis.

Given what happened, the Police deployed a large device in Commune Nine of Villavicencio to try to identify the criminals who attacked the uniformed man.
For its part, The Mayor’s Office of Villavicencio offered a reward of up to ten million pesos for anyone who provides information about the authors of this attack.
This fact is added to the one recorded in the early hours of this Friday in the Gaitán neighborhood, in Villavicencio, against two patrol cars of the Metropolitan Police, who were carrying out patrol work. in this area of the capital of Metense, specifically in the sector known as “El Muro”, when they were attacked with a traumatic weapon.
During the event, one of the police officers was hit in the buttock and the other uniformed man was unharmed thanks to the protection of the ballistic vest.

Both uniformed officers were taken to a health center for medical evaluation and are stable.
After what happened, uniformed members of the Special Operations Group and the Criminal Investigation and Police Intelligence section moved to this sector of the capital of Meta and carried out a strong intervention in order to identify those responsible for this aggression. These facts are the subject of investigation by the authorities.
