The Attorney General’s Office opened an investigation against officials assigned to the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF), in the department of Cupcakethe control entity will begin the investigation for alleged routing of contracts that exceeded $42,000 million pesos.
According to the complaint known to the Public Ministry and disseminated by the media, the regional office of the institute would have ignored the instructions given by the General Directorate of the ICBF to contract early childhood basic education services Community Homes of Welfare, which establishes that said contracts must be made with Parents’ Associations (APF) or with ethnic groups.

The officials and directors of the regional ICBF Cupcakewould have awarded a contract for more than $42,290,000,000 pesosto the same foundations that have been operating this service for a long time.
The Attorney’s Office General of the Nation, questions the ICBF for awarding million-dollar contracts to the same foundation, there being ethnic groups in the region that meet all the requirements to apply for said contracts.
The control body expressed through a statement that, “the associations of ethnic groups in Magdalenawere duly legalized to contract, these entities are Indigenous Organizations, associations of parents who use the service or community mothers.”
