The Command of the Cesar Police Department, in the frontal fight that it maintains against crime in all its modalities, under the leadership of Colonel Eduardo Chamorro Pinzón, personnel from the traffic and transportation section managed to capture a person for the crime of trafficking, manufacturing or possession of narcotics.
In deployment of prevention and control activities in order to guarantee safety on the department’s roads, our uniformed officers had a checkpoint located on the Bosconia-Río Ariguaní road route. During this operation, a citizen traveling in a car was detained for a routine search.
What began as a habit procedure soon became an important discovery. Since the uniformed officers discovered that this person had hidden a shipment of drugs using the “cave” modality on the floor of the vehicle. Upon closer inspection, 20 rectangular packages wrapped in black plastic were found, which were later confirmed to contain cocaine hydrochloride.
As a result of what happened, the accused was placed at the disposal of the competent authorities so that his legal situation could be resolved.
