The Mexican Association of Hotels and Motels in San Luis Potosí generated a new method to offer the service of its members, through a QR code.

Rafael Armendáriz Blázquez, president of the Mexican Association of Hotels and Motels, presented a new strategy generated by the association to offer the services of its members, which consists of a QR code that allows access to the information of each establishment.

He mentioned that With this code people can enter a list of all the hotels affiliated with the Association, of which you can find the website, as well as their address and telephone number..

He pointed out that this strategy seeks a practical way for visitors to analyze different options and choose where they are going to stay, depending on the region in which they are located.

This QR code has begun to be distributed in the state Secretariat of Tourism and in the Municipal Tourism Directorate of the Capital of Potosí, however the intention is to also make it reach tourist guides and service providers such as taxi drivers, so that they can offer the tool to those who arrive in San Luis Potosí.

In that sense, he indicated that he will seek to meet with unions or associations of taxi drivers and other sectors, to provide them with the QR code “and they can be the interlocutors when visitors ask where they can go (to stay).”

He specified that the Association has 120 affiliated hotels throughout the state, of which between 50 and 60 are in the Capital of Potosí.

On another topic, Armendáriz Blázquez celebrated the establishment of the Union of Tourist Guides of San Luis Potosí AC, as he highlighted that the value chain in the tourism sector includes all service providers, from hoteliers, restaurant owners, merchants, artisans , restaurateurs, tourist guides, “everyone has their place here.”
