Unions of private and university teachers of Tierra del Fuego They announced that they will join the national strike – scheduled for this Thursday, May 23 – to demand salary improvements.

He Argentine Union of Private Teachers (SADOP – TDF) confirmed that he will adhere to demand the “urgent call” to the national joint meeting, requesting the recomposition of the salary along with better living and working conditions, the restitution of the FONID, the recomposition of the educational budget for all levels and in rejection of reforms that affect pension schemes.

“Given the silence of the National Government and the serious situation that the educational sector is going through, we ratify our position: education is an individual and social human right recognized in our Constitution, which the National State must guarantee. For fair salaries, decent working conditions for all teachers and quality education for our people,” they stated.

For its part, the Association of Fuegian University Teachers (ADUF) will join the force measure, including a strike by non-teaching staff, demanding a larger university budget and against the DNU and the Bases Law that is being discussed in the Senate.
