We are doing what we should and more

By Fabián Rogel

Governor Rogelio Frigerio, since his inauguration, has been working to organize the inherited economic imbalances and if there is a model that can be exhibited, it is precisely that of the province of Entre Ríos, where work was done to reduce public spending as much as possible. starting with spending on politics.

In this context, historic demands have been made before the National Government to defend the resources of the people of Entre Ríos, for example, for our Retirement Fund and for Salto Grande. Likewise, public accounts are being organized and debts paid to generate confidence and be better positioned when it comes to obtaining resources.

With a vision of long-term economic and social development, the governor is exploring alternatives within the international financial community: specifically, contacting each of the international credit organizations and international cooperation agencies to allow us to lay the foundations for the development of our province. In this framework, the governor has encouraged provincial public organizations to contact international organizations, the United Nations and its specialized agencies, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) and the Fonplata Development Bank, previously known as the Financial Fund for the Development of the Countries of the La Plata Basin, among others.

But, evidently, the fact that the province has stopped receiving resources from the National Government is being felt in the Entre Ríos economy.

The governor expressed on more than one occasion the importance of giving the President the tools he needs to govern; In that sense, the Bases bill that the National Executive sent to the Chamber of Deputies of the Nation and which is already in the Senate, was accompanied by Entre Ríos legislators.

That is to say, not even by accompanying the current government with our legislators, we were able to get the President to return to our province the money that corresponds to us.

Our province is the cradle of federalism and national organization from Francisco Ramírez y Urquiza onwards, and has a democratically elected provincial government, just like President Milei. It would be good if, just as the opposition gives us tools to manage and carry out the transformation that we Argentines need, the National Government also accompanies the change that we Entre Ríos people choose, guaranteeing us the resources that correspond to us; In short, complying with the agreements and federalism.
